From iris activity to viral marketing – The changing face of marketing Cineviz project manager John Behnke looks into a camera mounted on his computer monitor. On the screen, his face appears, framed in a green square. Green means he’s engaging with the camera – in other words, he’s looking at it. He glances away from the camera, and the outline around his screen face turns gray. Gray means he’s still present but just not engaging. This may not sound like the latest in techno-intelligence, but for marketers, it’s the answer to their prayers. If Behnke is your target audience and his camera is set up near your advertising message, you’ve just found out quite a bit about him as a viewer: You know how long he’s looked at your ad, his gender and age range, and at what point in your message you lost his interest. The magic is the result of “video analytic technology.” But don’t let its name scare you. All it means is electronically checking out who looks at your ads.

Cineviz & freshpaintdigital’s crucial input attracts interest from industry giant, SONY.
SimpleSign™ makes digital signage more accessible and affordable “by providing everything needed for start-up digital signage in one box. It’s perfect for any small to medium business which is currently using DVD or Video tapes to playback corporate marketing messages or promotional advertising,” according to Sony’s website product overview. Prior to the meeting in Green Bay, freshpaintdigital™ created and implemented digital media content for Sony’s hardware, while its subsidiary partner, Cineviz™, offered crucial feedback during its application that seemed to have piqued Sony’s interest. John Behnke, Project Manager of Cineviz™, described their role in the testing as really two simultaneous goals: “One was pushing the limits of SimpleSign’s product to see what it can do (and can’t do), while number two was to see what kinds of customers are best served by Sony’s new application.” Cineviz™ rigorously tested SimpleSign’s performance limits to determine what kinds of strains the product might undergo, what might happen under those conditions, and what kinds of format and networking scenarios would be ideal for Sony’s customers. From a content standpoint, Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™ ultimately provided Sony with ideal recommendation standards for future application of SimpleSign Solutions. As Behnke put it, “our tests helped determine Sony’s goal to provide SimpleSign™ users with an easy-to-use website and/or software product, allowing users to easily input their own media and advanced functionalities in a cost-effective, well-rounded solution.” President and Creative Director of both Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™, Scott Koffarnus, added that “the meeting with Sony SimpleSign™ executives reflect their commitment to users by taking the complexity out of digital signage, making it more affordable, yet still keeping a diligent eye on the quality of the product. We were happy to be a valued partner with a company like Sony, and we found out just how much our philosophies about digital signage are the same.” While no official decision has been issued publicly from either party regarding a consistent collaboration, Sony Corporation and President/Creative Director Scott Koffarnus continue to discuss how both companies can continue to work together successfully, now and in the near future. ANSUL®/Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products rent 32-inch touch-screens from Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™ for MINExpo International Convention 2008 to show off latest Fire Suppression and Building Products. Green Bay, WI, October 1, 2008 — After a record attendance at the 2008 MINExpo International in Las Vegas, Nevada, ANSUL®/Tyco Fire Suppression & Building Products (Tyco FS&BP) used digital signage technology from Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™ to showcase and engage the massive audience at the convention. Using 32-inch High Definition Touch-screens from the Green Bay-based digital media and digital signage companies, ANSUL® was able to provide an interactive experience platform of their latest technology in fire detection, suppression, cooling, and securing. ANSULs® digital signage interaction allowed them to give the Mining and Construction community from around the world a better look at their industry-leading approach to fire suppression. The presentations showcased ANSUL® systems through 3D animation, video and interactivity presented in 5 languages. Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™ have a long-standing relationship with ANSUL®/Tyco FS&BP – recently and in the past, providing digital media content and fully-produced multimedia training videos for many of their fire suppression units. This latest move allowed ANSUL®/Tyco FS&BP to maximize the impact of their product presentations, but, ultimately, to expand their marketing potential by using digital signage technology. Currently, Cineviz™ and freshpaintdigital™ have multiple 32-inch High Definition Touch-screens for rental purposes for any display or presentation, and have recently opened a new showroom to showcase their latest digital signage solutions. Cineviz’s new onsite showroom delivers an up-close and personal digital signage experience for visitors. Green Bay, WI, October 7, 2008 — Digital Signage solutions company, Cineviz™, just unveiled a new showroom open to clients and the public to see and experience the latest in digital signage technology. The new showcase includes closeup demonstrations of the team’s latest projects, including beta-tests of Sony’s SimpleSign hardware/software solutions – an entry-level combination geared to minimize the complexity of digital signage for small- to midsize businesses without compromising rich content and performace, all at a more affordable price. In addition, the showroom boasts a range of 32-inch Touch Screens with HD capacity, allowing clients to see just how their rich content will look in their storefront or business, as well as Samsung all-in-one packages that allow for larger formats, embedded CPUs, and up to 5×5 Video Walls destined to impress viewers with stunning, interactive media content. “The idea was to show people what we actually meant by ‘interactive content’ and ‘quality performace’ when discussing their digital signage needs,” said Scott Koffarnus, President and Creative Director of Cineviz™. “In fact, the whole advantage of digital signage technology is the interactivity of the medium itself. Most other companies do their best to tell someone about the endless capabilities or provide product pictures for their clients, but nothing beats the up-close, hands-on approach. So with that in mind, we designed the showroom to allow clients and the public to take digital signage out for a spin and really show the innovative things we can do for them and their business.” Cineviz™ Sales Manager, James Murphy, and Project Manager, John Behnke, agreed that the showroom was well worth the time and financial investment. “Almost immediately, our clients finally saw and experienced what it was we’d been talking about for months. It was really exciting,” said Murphy. Behnke said, “Simply put, it shows our commitment to leading the way in this industry. Digital Signage strategies are always moving forward, so we’re pushing the limits and actually showing them how it would look and perform in their storefront, corporate headquarters, restaurant – you name it.” The showroom is open to the public and is located at Cineviz™’s main office, 1236 Main Street, Green Bay, WI. For more information, please contact James Murphy james@cineviz.com. Cineviz™ is dedicated to providing Digital Signage solutions and is a subsidiary of freshpaintdigital™.
